Introduction
If you don't want to see notifications for an app or feature, you can change the settings. This will stop notifications from that app or feature from appearing on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Follow these steps to stop receiving unwanted notifications on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
- Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices. If you're not signed in to iCloud on your device, or if you don't have an Apple ID, turn off the Notifications setting and then skip this step.
- Go to Settings > Notifications and tap Show Previews under each app's row in which it appears that there are new notifications waiting for you (see figure).

If you don't have an existing Apple ID, create one now and then log in through Safari on iOS 11 devices (iOS 10 is no longer supported) or Safari on macOS Sierra or High Sierra. Be sure that both devices are connected over Wi-Fi and are on the same Wi-Fi network as well as within range of each other; otherwise they won't connect properly!

Choose how you want to receive notifications for specific apps and features.
- Choose which apps to allow notifications for.
- If you choose not to receive notifications from an app, it will not appear in the list of apps that can send notifications. This is useful if you want to stop receiving notifications from a specific app entirely. For example, if you have an RSS feed reader that sends you instant messages every time there's new content available on their website (which happens frequently), then it might be better for you if this particular service doesn't send any more messages until its next update arrives.
Go to Settings > Notifications and tap Show Previews.

- You can choose to get notifications for specific apps and features. For example, you might want the notification options on your phone to be more limited because they're annoying or distracting. Or maybe you're not interested in having any kind of notification settings at all; it just works better that way!
- You can also choose who gets access to certain kinds of information through the app's settings panel (or via its "Notifications" tab). This includes things like contacts lists, calendars and reminders—and even specific websites that may send updates about new content or events related to those items listed above.*
Conclusion
