Having your contacts synchronized with somebody can be a great time saver and makes life much more convenient. You don’t have to manually enter the same contact information on multiple phones, tablets or computers, but can easily access all your contacts in a single spot.
If you are using an iPhone and Mac or iCloud, you can sync your iPhone’s contacts to your Mac or iCloud in just a few steps. Here, we discuss the most up to date and easiest way to sync your iPhone contacts with your Mac and/or iCloud.
Before you sync your iPhone contacts to Mac and/or iCloud, here are a few things to review. First, you must be using the latest version of macOS and iOS on your Mac and iPhone. Updating to the latest version helps avoid issues when syncing. Additionally, it makes sure that you have the most updated version of iCloud. You should also make sure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and have Bluetooth turned on. Syncing over a cellular connection may result in extra data costs.
If you want to sync your iPhone contacts to your Mac, the most convenient option is to use Apple’s iCloud service. First, make sure that you are signed into iCloud on both, your iPhone and Mac. Then, open the Contacts app on your Mac and go to Preferences. Under the tab for Accounts, click on iCloud and make sure that the box next to it is checked to sync your contacts. Once this setting has been activated, go back to the Home page and click on Accounts, then select the contacts option. Here, you can decide which contacts groups you would like to sync with iCloud. When done, click Apply to save the settings.
Your contacts should now be synced with your Mac and will be automatically updated whenever you make changes on one of the devices.
If you want to sync your iPhone contacts with iCloud instead of your Mac, open the Settings app and select your Apple ID. Here, you can choose which contacts you’d like to sync with iCloud. Make sure that the toggle switch for Contacts is Turned on and that your iCloud Contacts is selected.
You’re now ready to access your contacts anywhere at any time. All the changes that you make, either on your iPhone or in iCloud, will be automatically synced to both devices.
If you use an iPhone and Mac, it’s important to know that Apple’s iCloud service is very secure. iCloud encrypts all your data as it is sent and received over the network, using your Apple ID to authenticate. This means that your data will remain safe and secure even if you’re syncing your device.
If you need to sync your iPhone contacts with either your Mac or iCloud, then it’s a straightforward process that takes a few steps to setup. Once setup, your contacts will be securely synced with both devices. If you need more support then connect with Supportly App customer service team.
